Using Spoolroom with assistive technology

Last updated 2026-10-11

We want Spoolroom to work for as many people as possible, and we would rather hear about a barrier than display a badge.

What we aim for

Our aim is software that is usable with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or no mouse at all. Accessibility is part of how the app is built rather than a pass at the end: readable contrast, visible focus, keyboard routes to the things you can click, text that scales, and motion that respects your system settings.

What this page is not

This is a statement of intent, not a certification. We do not claim that Spoolroom conforms to any particular accessibility standard, and we cannot guarantee that every part of it will work with every assistive technology. The app changes often, browsers and screen readers differ, and some screens will be better than others.

Nothing on this page creates a warranty or a contractual commitment. It describes what we try to do and how to tell us when we have not managed it.

Tell us what does not work

If something is hard or impossible to use, email hello@spoolroom.app or use the 🐞 button in the app. Tell us the screen and the assistive technology you use. We treat these as bugs rather than suggestions, and they go on the same list as everything else that is broken.
